The flag of Connecticut consists of a blue base with a badge in
the center that consists of three grapevines. Below the badge is the State's
motto "Qui Transtulit Sustinet," which means 'He Who Transplanted Still
Sustains.'

the three original settlements which made up the Connecticut colony: Hartford,
Wethersfield and Windsor.
