Iowa Flags are made from 100% nylon and feature strong duck heading and Brass Grommets. For Outdoor Use. Made in the USA.
The flag of Iowa consists of three horizontal stripes. The left stripe is blue and the right is red and they are of equal size. The middle stripe is white and it has a bald eagle carrying a ribbon in the center. Written on the ribbon is Iowa’s state motto: Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain.
The flag’s design is similar to the French national flag, representing Iowa’s French ties prior to the Louisiana Purchase. The blue stripes symbolize loyalty, justice and truth. The white represents purity and red stands for courage. The bald eagle represents Iowa’s loyalty to the union of the United States.
