Kansas Flags

Kansas Flags are made from 100% nylon and feature strong duck heading and Brass Grommets. For Outdoor Use. Made in the USA.

The flag of Kansas consists of a blue base with the state seal in the center. Kansas is written under the seal, in yellow. Above the seal is a sunflower which is the state flower and state nickname. Beneath the sunflower is a gold and blue stripe which represents the Louisiana Purchase, from which Kansas was created.

The 34 stars inside the state seal represent Kansas as the 34th state admitted to the Union. Above the stars is the Kansas state motto: Ad Astra Per Aspera, which means ‘To the Stars with Difficulty’. The man operating the plough represents agriculture and the steamship and river stand for commerce. The past is also represented in the sea. With the rising sun, ox-wagons are headed west and Native American’s are chasing buffalo.
