Maine Flags are made from 100% nylon and feature strong duck heading and Brass Grommets. For Outdoor Use. Made in the USA.
The flag of Maine consists of a blue base with the state seal in the center. Above the shield is the state’s motto: Dirigo, which means ‘I Lead’. Above the motto is the North Star which was a guiding navigational star for early travelers.
Inside the state seal there is a white pine, the state tree, which represents the state nickname and the timber industry. In front of the tree is a moose; together they represent the state’s flora and fauna. Standing on either side of the shield are two men: one is a sailor, representing the sea and commerce, and the other is a farmer, representing agriculture. They are standing on a ribbon with Maine written on it.
